The Light Blues get their fourth win on the spin with a comprehensive win against Stevie Hammell’s Motherwell

Rangers will go into Monday’s Old Firm Derby brimming with confidence after a routine 3-0 victory against Motherwell at Ibrox.

The Light Blues had knocked up three consecutive wins Scottish Premiership coming into the game, and ran out 3-0 winners in a match where they never really looked in much trouble.

Michael Beale was able to rotate his side with five changes, but it was his most recognisable faces who came up with the goods.

Alfredo Morelos opened the scoring on 13 minutes, heading home a terrific cross from Borna Barisic to get his fifth goal of the season.

And then Barisic, who was making his first appearance following his successful run with Croatia at the World Cup also provided the second goal, when Connor Goldson met his looping corner to head past Liam Kelly and extend their advantage.

Rangers then passed up several chances to add to the scoreline, but did get their third in the second half, when the impressive Malik Tillman made space for himsellf inside the area to fire home.

It was the perfect preparation for the huge showdown against Celtic in Govan on January 2, with Beale also picking up his second clean sheet in as many games.
